Pima Partnership High School 

 

The mission of Pima Partnership Charter High School, an Advanced-ED Accredited charter high school, is to provide rigorous, differentiated educational programs, credit recovery, extended day, and technology-enhanced instruction for "at risk" youth.   Students who have a history of behavioral problems, weak attendance, poor academic performance, insufficient academic credits to graduate, dropouts, and those who have societal struggles of family responsibilities and adjudication are provided a curriculum that meets Arizona’s College and Career Ready Standards in the core content areas of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.   This is accomplished within a safe, supportive environment leading to a high school diploma and preparation for success beyond graduation.  

 

 

Pima Partnership High School arrived to the Tucson community in 2002, with the purpose of giving a home to students who had not been successful in the traditional public school system.  It was in these formative years that we quickly realized that students want small class sizes, more individualized attention, a safe environment, and a school they can call home.   So we decided to give students exactly what the needed and what they wanted!

 

Much has changed in the ten years since Pima Partnership High School opened its doors.  We are continuing to grow, but our original vision has remained the same.  Classes are still small, and students still receive the attention they need; however, it is now with a 21^st century feel!  Often you will see students in our state of the art Cybrary, reading a book on a Nook or using an iPad to do research for an up and coming essay.   Or, you might see students hanging out in our Cyber Café after school, surfing the web or checking email, or perhaps filling out a college application.  Technology has become an everyday part of school life here at Pima Partnership High School. In fact, we believe so much in the importance of technology that WE GIVE AWAY FREE COMPUTERS FOR STUDENTS THAT HAVE 95% ATTENDANCE AND PASSING GRADES!
